BMTC Bus service needs few changes

On my first day to Bangalore.... It was early morning when i reached Majestic Bus stand. I took a Bus to Electronic City. To my surprise, there was no conductor in that Bus. Only the Drive. He gave me the ticket and started to Drive the vehicle. I was staring at him. Because, that was the first time I seeing a Driver overloaded with Conductors Job. I was restless on my seat, watching the road, and the Driver with a doubt "Will He drop me at Electronic City with out any Accidents"

Coming to 2007. This situation still continues. A Number of BMTC Buses dont have a Dedicated Conductor.

One more thing is Female Conductors in BMTC Buses. I don't want to comment on Women's Right here. But I won't accept my sister to take this job (Ofcourse, I don't have a sister). Even, Men Conductors are pity in midst of the crowd. Often I see Drunken "Gentle"-men in Buses.

Coming to Male Conductors, Ayyoh!!!!. I suppose BMTC will be one of the most plagued Organization by Corruption. Most Conductors, will not issue tickets properly. If the ticket fair is Rs. 5, Often they take Rs.3 and will not issue any ticket. This 3 Rupees will go to their Pocket. Some commuters will not appreciate this practice. They will ask for the ticket and give the correct amount. "Good on you Buddies". But most will accept "Our Conductor's" Deal. I know they are not interested in those few pennies. But its their Hesitation that stops them to ask "Our Conductor".

But for these few drawbacks, I luv BMTC. Especially the condition of the Buses.
Ofcourse, the fair is high when compared to TN. But its OK. We can give it.
